What’s the difference between a psychic reading and Spirit Talks? Will you provide evidence that you are talking to my loved one?
We listen to messages from the unseen which may include a variety of benevolent beings and energies. We are not evidence-based which means that we are not trying to provide you with detailed information that may “prove” we are talking to a particular loved one on the other side of the veil. Instead, we focus on the messages that the unseen wants to communicate. It is our experience that the unseen is eager to create relationships with us to support our wellbeing and further our growth. If you knew the person that comes through, we have found that sometimes a message may sound very similar in tone or word usage or even provide a specific reference. However, all of these messages come through our human filter so we may choose the closest words that we can that correlate to what we hear. It is possible that it sounds different than how you remember that individual. In either case, we suggest that you focus on the message and try not to be distracted by other aspects. If you are seeking proof of the afterlife, that is both valid and understandable. We recommend you start your search elsewhere and perhaps Spirit Talks will be a good fit for you down the road.
Can anyone perceive the unseen world?
Yes, anyone can sense the unseen. Just like anything else, it takes practice. We suggest starting out with a grounding exercise. Here is our particular favorite:
Take a deep breath and place your feet on the floor. Imagine a silver cord attached to your heart. Now picture that cord moving downward through the center of your body into the earth and all the way down to the core of the earth. Leaving that cord attached to the core, follow the cord all the way back up to your heart. Now imagine a gold cord attached to your heart and follow it upward through the crown of your head and all the way up to your favorite place in the sky – the sun, the moon or the stars. Attach your cord and then follow it back down to your heart. Breathe into the feeling of being rooted to the earth while simultaneously being free to fly in the heavens.
Next, create a safe space. Perhaps light a candle or just find a quiet place to sit with a cup of tea. With pen and paper at hand, call in the unseen. Ask your loved ones, your guides, angels or other benevolent beings to come in on your behalf. You could begin by starting a dialogue with someone that you were close to. Ask them a question and then with pen in hand, listen for a response. Don’t overthink it, just write what you hear. You may not hear anything but instead you may be reminded of a particular song, memory, taste, smell or have a particular vision come to mind. Whatever comes up, trust it. It is your loved one or another benevolent being from the unseen trying to communicate. As you continue to practice, you will find that it becomes easier to drop in and listen.
What is the difference between ancestors, guides, angels, higher selves and other benevolent beings?
There are many different types of energies/entities/beings in the unseen. The following are channeled definitions that we received, but may not align with how others define them.
Ancestors are direct lineage of ours that have crossed over. They may be people that we know or they could be many generations back. Also, non-blood related family may sometimes be considered lineage as well, as in adopted, marriage or step relations.
Guides are Spirit helpers that are personally assigned to us to help us navigate our lives. Some guides are with us for a lifetime and others may come and go. In addition, some guides serve specific purposes or roles in our life.
Angels are celestial higher beings that assist God in aligning the energies in the unseen. They often work to uplift and transmute energy. Many angels have specific areas of expertise or focus.
Higher selves are the non-egoic expression of those still in the living.
Benevolent beings is a term to capture all energies in the unseen that are here for our highest good. This group can encompass a wide range of entities.
Are Spirit Talks safe?
We create a sacred container for our talks. At the beginning of this session, we call in our ancestors, guides, angels and other benevolent beings that are here for our highest good. We ground ourselves to the earth and the heavens and seal off our sacred space, preventing any other beings from joining, before beginning our session. At the end of our session, we say a prayer, thanking the benevolent beings that have joined us and close out our circle.
Are you affiliated with a particular religion?
No, we are not affiliated with any religion or particular spiritual belief. We have clients with a variety of religious and spiritual backgrounds. The language we use is universal, and we believe there are many names for Source energy.
Do you offer discounts, scholarships or a sliding scale?
